23rd Annual Mark Belling WISN Cruise
February 14 - 23, 2014
Aboard The World's Largest Ship -
Allure of the Seas
Sometimes you really can have it all. My 23rd annual WISN listener cruise combines arguably the most exciting cruise ship in the world, an itinerary of my three favorite islands in the Caribbean, a spectacular two-night hotel stay right on the ocean on world famous Fort Lauderdale Beach, our own private concert by an iconic band, roundtrip non-stop airfare from Milwaukee, the best week of the year to take a warm weather cruise, and, you even get me! All of this is available, with remarkable mainstream pricing, for loyal listeners of my show.
My 2014 cruise will be our first ever on Royal Caribbean and we've chosen a ship that has revolutionized the cruise industry and has been written about in countless magazines and profiled on TV travel programs. The Allure Of The Seas has literally something for everybody. The antithesis of cookie cutter ships premised on a single theme, the Allure has seven distinct "neighborhoods", 25 restaurants, the acclaimed Broadway show "Chicago", the DreamWorks Experience from Steven Spielberg's company and every imaginable attraction from rock-climbing walls to surf simulators, a golf course, ice skating rink (really), a huge adults only solarium, an 18,000-square-foot casino, a world class spa with an assortment of treatments, a shopping mall, and enough bars and nightspots to make you think you're in Manhattan, not the Caribbean. The Allure is one of Royal Caribbean's Oasis class ships and I've wanted to lead a cruise on one of them since they debuted. By dividing the ship into "neighborhoods" or "pods", Royal has managed to offer a staggering number of venues and attractions but in a way that the ship never seems crowded and lines are never long. I'm thrilled to be sailing on the Allure. Did I forget to mention that all of my cruisers will have a stateroom with a private balcony?
But that's not all! Before we even board the Allure, we'll spend two nights at the Westin Beach Resort and Spa, which has a great location on the ocean, close to Lauderdale's Las Olas area and within driving distance of attractions like the Seminole Hard Rock and Miami Beach. While we're in Fort Lauderdale, we'll have my first ever Cruise Concert headlined by Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, the band that led the "British Invasion" and produced a slew of hits. Peter is a music historian who loves his craft, is as vital as ever and puts on a great show. It will be just for us. The only attendees will be my cruisers. We'll be sailing to Nassau in the Bahamas, the island that has everything from incredible Paradise Island and Atlantis Casino to deep sea fishing and snorkeling. Next is St. Thomas, the most popular island in the Caribbean with its world-class shopping, legendary Magen's Bay Beach and the ability to trek to the neighboring island paradise of St. John. Finally, we go to the island that is two countries in one: St. Martin and St. Maarten. This is my favorite island in the Caribbean and I actually think I've now been to all of them! The French side (St. Martin) is a little bit like Paris in summertime and has great dining and shopping while the Dutch side (St. Maarten) has both natural beauty and a bustling downtown. If I could spend three weeks in only one place in that part of the world, it would be this island.
On my cruise you'll also get a lot of me. In addition to a private cocktail party, welcome session and mock version of my radio show, we're planning one other super special event. Dennis, Peggy and Charlie Crull and their staff from Cruise & Tour will personally escort our group to see that you get all the special perks and treatment that only our cruisers receive. The Crulls have led every one of my cruises and do an amazing job of coordinating absolutely everything for us. And, did I mention to all the lovers in my audience that we are leaving on Valentine's Day? What a great chance to celebrate a special anniversary or give the gift of the vacation of a lifetime to someone you care about.
We are able to offer all of this at a cost that is much lower than several of my recent cruises. I want as many of my listeners as possible to be able to afford a trip as special as this one. My 23rd annual cruise is the real deal. I can honestly say that I am more excited about this cruise vacation than any I have had the privilege of hosting. Indeed, my 2014 cruise is truly "Alluring."
