Ross is an adventure traveler, Navy brat, science geek, and NFL fan. Having escaped the People’s Republic of Boulder, Ross lives near Denver with his wonderful, beautiful, and talented Australian wife, Kristen, their two children, and their gorgeous English bulldog, Agnes.

Arrive in Lima, Peru
Welcome to Peru, one of South America’s most captivating destinations. During your journey, you’ll explore remarkable landscapes and ancient cultures while visiting some of the world’s most legendary sites, including Machu Picchu, the famed “Lost City of the Incas.” Arrive this evening in Lima, often called the “City of Kings.” Due to late flight arrival times, there are no scheduled activities today.
Lima
Discover Lima and its fascinating past on a guided tour through the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the remarkable artwork inside the Monastery of San Francisco and explore its famous underground catacombs. View the elegant Cathedral of Lima at Plaza Mayor, and visit the historic Casa de Aliaga, once the home of conquistador Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez, where centuries of Lima’s colonial and republican history come to life. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore Lima at your own pace before gathering this evening for a welcome dinner featuring artfully crafted Peruvian cuisine. (B, D)
Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley
Fly to Cusco, once the historic capital of the Inca Empire. From here, journey through the breathtaking Andes to the Sacred Valley, the fertile agricultural heart of the ancient Inca civilization. Along the way to your hotel, pass through traditional towns that reflect the region’s rich culture and heritage. Uros Floating Islands – Lake Titicaca – Chullpas de Sillustan – Puno
Spend the day immersing yourself in local culture on Lake Titicaca. Begin with a morning cruise to the floating islands of the Uros, walking on their spongy reed surfaces and meeting the islanders to learn about their history and way of life. Continue to a nearby rustic village for a home-hosted meal, sharing stories and experiences with Peruvian families. Puno – Lima – Overnight Flight

- While in Cuzco, you have the choice between two activities. Both options require the ability to walk continuously for approximately 45 minutes either on uneven surfaces or up and down steep streets.
- Round-trip airfare from Denver, as well as all required intra-Peru flights, are included in the tour package. Due to airline availability, group ticketing requirements, and scheduling restrictions, guests cannot deviate from the group flights or arrange their own air transportation for this tour.
Activity Level
This tour is best suited for physically fit, active travelers, comfortable with a full schedule and faster-paced days, which may begin early and extend into the evening and include extended walking, standing, stairs, uphill routes, and uneven terrain. Accommodations outside of Lima are typically small and may not have elevators, requiring stairs to access rooms. Several days are spent at approximately 11,000 feet, which may affect some travelers; those with altitude sensitivity or respiratory or cardiac conditions should consult a healthcare provider prior to booking. This tour is not suitable for guests with mobility challenges or those who use wheelchairs or walkers; travelers with limited mobility should contact a reservation agent to discuss alternative options.
