Meet Your Guide: Beth Meredith

Beth is a lifelong Kentuckian who grew up with two great passions: horses and travel. She graduated with a degree in French and English literature and then worked in the Thoroughbred horse industry in Kentucky for many years. Beth’s travels to other parts of the world during her career in racing convinced her to pursue her other passion, so she decided to become a full-time Tour Director. For the last 13 years, she has had the pleasure and honor of showing her guests some of the most beautiful places in the world, including Europe, South America, Antarctica, and of course, the U.S., specializing in parks such as Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and the Grand Canyon.

"I feel so incredibly fortunate to help my guests enjoy destinations they may have dreamed of experiencing for years." -Beth

Colorado Springs
When Katherine Bates sat at the top of Pikes Peak in 1893, she was so inspired by the view that she wrote the poem “America the Beautiful,” which is one of the most beloved songs about America. Once you arrive at the top of Pikes Peak on the Cog Railway, you will quickly learn how this adored song became so popular—the sweeping 360-degree views are incredible! People say carbs can be helpful at high altitudes, so don’t forget to grab some of those tasty, homemade donuts at the visitor’s center.
Pikes Peak, named because explorers thought it was fit for the Gods, frames the Garden of the Gods, which contains outstanding geologic features like Steamboat Rock, the Three Graces, and Balanced Rock. You’ll explore the park with special stops for spectacular photos. (B, D)
