Jimmy Barrett is the host of Houston’s Morning News heard Monday–Friday from 5-8 a.m. It’s a fast-moving mix of local and national news along with engaging discussions on pop culture, entertainment, and political issues. Jimmy came to KTRH in 2017 after more than 30 years as a morning host in Detroit and Richmond, VA. He spent more than 10 years as the public address voice of the Detroit Tigers and Michigan Wolverines. Jimmy and his wife Elisabeth make their home in Spring, Texas. They have two grown sons and four grandchildren. They are also currently raising four rescue cats and a South Korean meat-market rescue dog named Swiper. In their spare time, they love to travel with friends and invite you to join them for a magical trip to Alaska!

Welcome to Seattle, affectionately known as the Emerald City—a nickname inspired by its lush green landscapes and sparkling waterfront views. Upon arrival, transfer to your downtown boutique hotel and settle in. This evening, join Jimmy Barrett and fellow KTRH listeners for a welcome dinner to kick off your unforgettable Alaskan adventure. This morning, discover the rich history and vibrant energy of Seattle on a guided city tour. Hear fascinating stories of the city’s past as you explore its distinctive neighborhoods and landmarks. Drive past the stadium where the Seattle Mariners play, then experience one of the city’s most iconic attractions as you soar to the top of the Space Needle for sweeping views of the skyline, Puget Sound, and the surrounding mountains. Cancellation / Refund
Your initial deposit of $1,000 is refundable until February 19, 2026, minus a cancellation fee of $500 per person.
From February 20, 2026, to April 22, 2026, the cancellation fee will be 50% of the total deposits paid.
After April 22, 2026, or in the case of non-appearance on the departure day, 100% of the cost of your travel arrangements will be forfeited.
