Dan O'Donnell Cruise – Alaska

There has been one destination that WISN listeners requested over and over and over through the years that we have never visited. Well guess what? I want to go there too!

With towering snow-capped peaks, soaring bald eagles, calving glaciers, and unspoiled nature as far as the eye can see, it’s no wonder why Alaska is known as the Final Frontier. The possibilities are endless: whale watching, flightseeing, dog sledding, gold panning, fly fishing, river rafting, glacier viewing, and salmon bakes. And we won’t run out of daylight to do it all since the sun won’t set until about 11:30 each night.

While it’s nature by day, it’s modern luxury by night. I can’t wait to board the completely made- over Celebrity Millennium and see her for myself. I could go on and on about the gourmet meals, fun bars and lounges, Broadway-style shows, and world-class spa and fitness center. Plus, Cruise & Tour managed to get us a premium beverage package, free WiFi, and a $150 per person shore excursion credit, which means you could literally spend zero dollars on board and still have a great time!

I’m planning some fun get-togethers throughout the trip, just for my group members. It’s time for your next great adventure. See you in Alaska!

Seward (Embark)
This morning after breakfast, you’ll make your way by bus to Seward to board your Alaska cruise. Edging the Kenai Peninsula and framed by the glacier-covered Kenai Mountains that run along its southeastern spine, Seward is a rustic port town whose grand terrain will leave you breathless. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education and research. Here Alaska’s wildlife is on full display, with bear, elk, moose, buffalo and more, all easily viewable in this one of a kind nature park. (B, D)

Hubbard Glacier-Cruising
The Hubbard Glacier is located about 30 miles north off the coast of Yakutat and is by far one of Alaska’s most exciting natural treasures. Named after Gardiner Hubbard, the founder and president of the National Geographic Society, Hubbard Glacier is the longest tidewater glacier in the world. (B, L, D)

The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. Head to Klondike Gold Rush National Park Museum for an in-depth look at the Klondike and the two routes out of Skagway – Chilkoot Pass and White Pass. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad runs the vintage locomotives through the famously steep Chilkoot Trail and offers sweeping mountain views during its climb toward Canada. (B, L, D)

Testimonials

The essence of a company is what they are, not just in the good times, but in the tough times. You all have come through with flying colors and are the model of how it "should" work. Yes, we have been on multiple wonderful trips with Cruise & Tour, but your customer care is what has just separated you from all others. We sadly had 3 international trips (with other companies) canceled in March of 2020 and are still wading through endless bureaucracy to get reimbursed; Cruise & Tour just displayed a WHOLE different and critical side of travel. No one EVER has said, "I hope my wonderful planned trip is canceled", but when it does, hopefully they have chosen Cruise & Tour! An ecstatic customer! :)
- Valori
I went on Jay Weber's Great Escape to NYC. This was my first experience with Cruise & Tour. It was wonderful from start to finish. The trip was very well planned and organized. Our tour guides were very experienced, knowledgeable, and fun. All of the staff from Cruise & Tour were great. Fabulous trip.
