Mandy Connell Adventure – French Polynesia
Do you remember when you were a kid and you’d see a picture in a magazine of someplace far away and you’d think to your nine-year-old self, “I’m gonna go THERE someday!”? That place for me was French Polynesia and my dream is about to become reality, and you’re invited!
Join me and Chuck April 27 to May 7, 2023 for a romantic adventure that checks so many boxes on my bucket list. We will fly into Tahiti to begin our time at the InterContinental Resort, where we can enjoy the swim-up bar and immaculate grounds! The next day we board our private motor sailer to begin our voyage to some of the most beautiful islands in the most breathtaking waters in the world. We own the ship, so if we want extra swim stops we can make that happen. We’ll visit Bora Bora, Taha’a, Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea – islands sculpted by sky-piercing, moss-green peaks and lined with vivid turquoise lagoons. Island hopping allows you to see every landscape, from geometric ridges strung with waterfalls on the high islands to flat, desert-like atolls where lagoons far outsize the landmass. We will snorkel with sharks and rays, have swim stops in perfect blue waters, and then end up back in Tahiti for a final night of traditional Polynesian luau and entertainment. And if you’re really feeling fancy, you can even upgrade to an overwater bungalow!
The ship experience is one of the best you’ll ever have. It’s not because the ship is fancy (the rooms are very comfortable but not upscale), it’s because the ship won’t matter. You will spend your time on the deck watching the water roll by, in the water, or exploring the islands on all sorts of excursions. And with just 22 couples on the ship, it’s the most pampered yet laid back way to travel I’ve ever experienced.
I can’t wait to see you all in French Polynesia!

Itinerary
Fly to Tahiti / Overnight at the InterContinental
Welcome to paradise! Begin your vacation on the gorgeous grounds of the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa.
Board Panorama II / Sail to Bora Bora
A late check-out from the InterContinental gives you ample time to settle into vacation mode. Later today you’ll board the Panorama II and set sail for Bora Bora.
Bora Bora
As you sail into Bora Bora’s turquoise lagoon with Mount Otemanu rising overhead, remember to pinch yourself as this truly is the stuff of dreams. We’ll spend two nights in breathtaking Bora Bora.
Highlight: Your time in Bora Bora includes an incredible opportunity to snorkel with friendly sharks and rays. Regardless of your snorkeling experience, this is absolutely something you can’t miss!
Bora Bora / Huahine
This morning you’ll have ample time to swim in the crystal clear water, take an optional jet ski adventure or snorkel the reef. After lunch, we’ll sail to Huahine.
Huahine
The Garden Island, Huahine is an immense, thriving tropical jungle, often overlooked by her favored counterparts, Moorea and Bora Bora. But don’t be fooled! Once home to Tahitian royalty and today favored by locals as the most picturesque island in French Polynesia, Huahine will leave you enthralled. Here you can take an optional tour to discover French Polynesia’s largest concentration of ancient temples (marae) or just explore on your own.
Taha’a
A botanical wonderland, Taha’a is home to the Tahitian vanilla orchid. In fact, 80% of the vanilla produced in French Polynesia comes from her fertile valleys.
Highlight: Today we have included a land and sea adventure where you’ll discover a vanilla plantation and visit one of the few pearl farms in the Society Islands. Then we’ll hit the water and arrive at our very own motu (islet) for an afternoon of snorkeling, swimming, lounging and a delicious beach BBQ.
Raiatea
Sharing the same expansive lagoon and coral reef as her sister island, Taha’a, Raiatea is the second largest of the Society Islands and is believed to be the birthplace of Polynesia. Here you can learn about the history and culture of the island on a optional guided 4×4 tour to see the ancient Marae (temple), Taputapuatea, a recently designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Or take a slower more active journey on an e-bike and kayaking tour.
Moorea
With eight towering peaks rising out of another perfect turquoise lagoon, Moorea’s striking beauty is undeniable. On land you’ll have the option to discover Moorea’s biodiversity on an exhilarating quad ATV tour. Be sure to have your camera ready for a sweeping panoramic view from Le Belvedere lookout.
Highlight: To truly appreciate Moorea’s beauty, you need to see her while standing in knee deep water with cocktail in hand. Fortunately, we know the perfect spot! Together we’ll enjoy a final beach BBQ with free time (of course) for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing to soak up the last of the Society Islands.
Tahiti / Overnight at the InterContinental
After sailing through French Polynesia, you’ll return to the InterContinental to top off your vacation with a farewell feast for the ages, complete with Polynesian song and dance.
Overnight Flight Home
Because you have an evening flight home, another late check-out has been arranged so you can soak up every last second of your vacation. Later today you’ll board your overnight flight home.
