Paul W. & Kim’s DREAM VACATION #6
A Mediterranean Dream
Aboard the Award Winning Regent – Seven Seas Explorer
July 12-23, 2022
Kim and I would like to personally invite you and a small group of other WJR listeners to join us on the trip of a lifetime as we sail the blue waters of the Amalfi Coast, French Riviera, Spain and more. On July 13th, we’ll set sail from Rome (Civitavecchia), to Sorrento, Italy where you can visit the world famous island of Capri. We’ll make stops in Sicily and Malta before taking in the spectacular French Riviera. Saint-Tropez, Monte Carlo, Provence, Corsica. Need I go on? Palamos, Spain rounds out this dream itinerary before arriving in Barcelona, Spain where you can extend your stay to see the Sagrada Familia, if you’d like.
But this incredible itinerary is only half of the story. We’re traveling in pure luxury aboard the Regent Seven Seas Explorer, where everyone gets a suite. And get this, business class international airfare is included in the price of this Dream Vacation along with just about everything else you could ever want. Gourmet meals at specialty restaurants, shore excursions, premium wines and spirits, gratuities, WiFi, valet laundry service… this stuff would typically cost you thousands and it’s all included!
Hurry, suites on this 750-passenger ship are limited and are already filling fast. Let’s take a Dream Vacation together.

Itinerary
Depart USA
Relax on your overnight flight to Rome.
Rome, Italy
Upon arrival in the Eternal City, transfer to nearby Civitavecchia to board the Explorer. Add a pre-cruise night to see some of Rome’s many marvels like the Colosseum or Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel (included with Penthouse & Concierge).
Sorrento/Capri, Italy
Sorrento is surely one of the world’s most beautiful towns, built on a coast with breathtaking views and landscapes. Overlooking the bay of Naples, the town is the key point on the Sorrentine Peninsula and is one of the most popular destinations of the entire Campania region. Make sure to plan a day trip to Capri, one of the most celebrated Italian islands, noted for its natural beauty.
Taormina (Sicily), Italy
Naxos is the gateway to the island of Sicily’s strategically significant northeastern region. From this port city, it is a short transfer to Taormina, resting 820 feet above the sea and overlooking imposing Mount Etna. Its highlights include the remarkably preserved Roman-style Greek theater, the splendid Palazzo Corvaja and the Odeon, a small Imperial Age theater set amidst colorful public gardens.
Valletta, Malta
Malta’s major port and capital, the entire city of Valletta was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The centerpiece is the impressive 19th-century Mosta Dome, visible from anywhere on the island. In addition to a number of significant works of art, this town is known for its many fortifications built by the Knights of Malta, including Saint John’s Co-Cathedral.
Cruising
Relax and enjoy our stunning ship as we cruise the Tyrrhenian Sea
Ajaccio (Corsica), France
Ajaccio is located on the west coast of Corsica, and is the island’s largest town. Ajaccio is the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, and the Napoleonic legacy dominates the city in its statues and street names. Surrounded by green-hued mountains with shady palm-fringed squares and pleasure boats bobbing in the bay, Ajaccio offers guests a pleasing number of sites to explore. View the Musée Fesch, with its fine collection of Renaissance paintings, and Napoleon’s birthplace, the Casa Bonaparte, now a museum.
Saint-Tropez, France
Enjoy the exquisite hilly Provençal countryside beyond this resort, where charming villages with narrow stepped streets, lovely churches and stunning scenic views beckon. Visit a local winery or take a drive along the rugged coast and revel in the wonderful views of the landscape, the beaches, the islands and the magnificent Massif des Maures. Browse the elegant boutiques for French perfume, fine jewelry, high fashion clothing and leather goods.
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Tiny, but packed with fun, Monte Carlo offers a wonderful combination of history, beauty, entertainment and leisure. The wealthiest spot in Monaco, Monte Carlo is an enchanting place, known as the international capital of luxury and for its celebrity sightings, casinos and nightlife. Yet the old world shines through in its art and architecture. Palaces, cathedrals and museums dot this small municipality in an old town full of rich history. Be sure to catch the once-daily changing of the guard.
Provence (Marseille), France
Located in southeastern France, today’s Marseille is a far cry from the sleepy villages it once inspired in Cézanne’s paintings. With more than a million people, the city remains the cosmopolitan and exuberant capital of southern Europe, with its picturesque Old Quarter, lively sidewalk cafes and shops, and Romanesque-Byzantine Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, overlooking the steep cliffs and offering a bird’s eye view of the city’s colorful “quartiers” stretching down toward the sea.
Palamos, Spain
Experience Costa Brava and understand why Salvador Dalí and others have long been inspired by its beaches and coves. Spend a day in the warm sand of La Fosca or learning about the history of this fishing village in Museu de la Pesca or simply taking in the Mediterranean air while walking down the promenade.
Barcelona, Spain
Our journey comes to an end in Barcelona, where we’ll disembark and fly home. Add a post-cruise stay to explore this vibrant city, including the iconic Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site still being built since 1882.
