Attention 10%ers!The W&J Show is very excited to announce something huge… This Labor Day Weekend (2024) we’re planning a trip to Boston with (hopefully) you and we’re calling it the W&J Boston Beer Party! Get it? Like the Tea Party but… you understand. Anyway, for one long booze fueled weekend we’re going to visit all the historic sites in Boston from the Revolutionary War and more! And best of all, a “WICKED ” lot is included in your purchase of this trip. This will be a rare opportunity for a buncha God fearing Southern folk to hang out, learn about history, and enjoy delicious grub and drinks! Check out all the information below and see for yourself why we’re so excited. Then, lock in your name on the list (no, it’s not a government list) because this is an extremely limited engagement! We sincerely hope you will join us Labor Day Weekend 2024 at the W&J Boston Beer Party! -Billy Ed
The legacy of the Walton & Johnson show continues after 4 decades as Steve Johnson hosts with longtime producer Kenny Webster. The show is a mix of comedy, politics, pop culture, and history that pokes fun at the absurdity of everyday life. The Walton and Johnson Show can currently be heard on over a dozen radio stations around the Gulf Coast and beyond.
What sets Walton & Johnson apart is they say what everyone thinks but is afraid to say. Whether the listener agrees or disagrees... They say out loud what everyone wishes they could. Do they take a lot of flak for it? Yes. But their knowledge and inarguable assessments of the nature of the beast are remarkable and compelling. No personality on the air today gives an audience such a diverse frame of thought as Walton & Johnson. No matter what they say, they do make you think.

After breakfast, gather for a short walk from the hotel and hop aboard our private historic “Duck.” We will be greeted by a legendary ConDucktor who will narrate our tour through many of the places that deem Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts. Hold on, we’re going to make a big splash into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston skyline—an experience we will not forget! The remainder of your day is at leisure for independent exploration. (B)
Our day exploring Salem begins with a short walk to Boston’s Long Wharf. Here, we will embark on the high-speed ferry to Salem, where you will enjoy scenic shoreline views along the way. Upon arrival, we begin with a guided tour of the House of Seven Gables. Afterward, we begin our guided trolley tour, hearing stories rich in local history, including their shipbuilding heritage, and becoming spellbound by accounts of the Salem Witch trials. Our early evening return to Boston provides time to explore at leisure or enjoy one of Boston’s many gourmet gems to delight your taste buds for dinner. (B)
Today, history comes alive as we walk along the Freedom Trail. Our Bostonian guide will share stories of the American Revolution, and we will see historical sites such as the Benjamin Franklin statue; celebrating one of Boston’s most famous native sons; the Boston Massacre Site, marked by a cobblestone ring denoting the site of the 1770 civilian massacre and Revolutionary War precursor; and the Old State House, the oldest surviving public building in Boston. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to further explore this wonderful city at your own pace. From world-famous museums and universities to boutique shopping and legendary taverns, there are so many fantastic things to do. You may want to take a tour of the iconic Fenway Park, sample a Sam Adams beer at one of their taprooms, see the USS Constitution, or perhaps visit the JFK Library. Rest assured, there is a plethora of activities to fill your afternoon. Gather this evening for a farewell dinner and sample some local chowdah and lobstah! (B, D)
